Poetry Week

During the first week of every term, English learning in school is focused on poetry.  So this week all classes have been studying a poem:  Spring Class have been reading 'The Magic Box' by Kit Wright; Summer Class have been enjoying 'The Sound Collector' by Roger McGough; and Autumn Class have been learning about palindrome poems using 'Refugees' by Brian Bilston.  In the pictures below you can see examples of some of the wonderful poems that have been written by children inspired by what they have been reading.  Remember, palindrome poems are written to be read forwards and then backwards to understand the full meaning!
