British Values and Equalities

British Values is the name given to the promotion of core societal values in this country.  For this school, they form a fundamental part of our Christian mission which can be seen in 'Our ethos and values' and the 'Keevil Characteristics' under the 'About Us' tab.

We promote and deliver British Values through a range of different subject areas within our Curriculum and many aspects of our life as a school.  In particular our PSHE Curriculum has been planned to ensure a progression in knowledge and understanding of British Values are learnt by our pupils.

The documents below show how an understanding of and the application of British Values is woven through our entire curriculum and provision within the school.

As well as British Values, we are committed to Equalities Education, ensuring that within our school and community everyone is included, accepted, equal and loved.

The Equality Act, which became law in 2010, protects all people from discrimination, harassment and victimisation.  This identifies nine Protected Characteristics which we all share, and through these ensure that all people can live their lives in this country free of prejudice and discrimination.

The document below shows how Equalities Education is woven through our life as a school and delivered explicitly through our PSHE curriculum.
