BackAutumn Class visit to Trowbridge Mosque - 22/02/24
Autumn Class took a visit to Trowbridge Mosque today. They have been learning about the 5 Pillars of Islam in their RE lessons and were lucky enough to find out even more today from volunteers at the Mosque.
A huge thank you to Mrs Brown and Mrs Stainer for organising the trip, taking the children and to FOKS for paying for the coach.
Spring Class in Art! 08/02/24
Spring Class have been exploring line this morning in art. They have tried really hard and perservered with something they found tricky, to produce some wonderful work.
Year 5 & 6 Visit OSJCT Goodson Lodge 01/02/24
Some of our year 5 and 6 children went to visit OSJCT Goodson Lodge today to celebrate both National Story Telling Week and International Read Aloud Day. The children had a lovely time and we hope the residents did too.
Chinese New Year! 08/02/24
Winter Class have been learning about Chinese New Year this week in class. They have been busy exploring, being creative and trying new experiences.
World Book Day! 22/02/24
World Book Week celebrations start early tomorrow with the travelling Book Fair starting. Come along after school to the school hall to have a look at some well loved, popular books for a range of ages. The children have had a little chance in school to have a browse today so might already have their eye on something. However, if we sell out of any titles please know you can still order it for delivery later next week. You can pay by cash or card (through an online QR system).
Summer Class learn about Chinese Music! 21/02/24
Summer class are learning about Chinese music. Today they performed a traditional Chinese song (in English) in groups with a drone accompaniment on glockenspiel and an ostinato on claves.
Summer Class Trip to Farm Cookery School 05/02/24
Summer Class had a fantastic trip to The Farm Cookery School in Bromham. They made Spaghetti Bolognaise and Dutch Butter Cake with lots of fresh ingredients whilst learning some cooking skills!
Spring Class - Visit from Volunteer 01/02/24
Spring Class were lucky enough to have a visit from Iris who volunteers for the Bristol & West Progressive Jewish Congregation. She bought lots of Jewish items for the children to see and explore. The children were able to impress Iris with their knowledge of the Chanukkah, Shabbat and Passover celebrations. Iris even bought some Challah bread for the children to enjoy.
